How to Style Hair For the Gym

Are sweaty strands of hair standing in the way of you and your fitness #goals? Then it’s deffo time to gym-proof your mane!

We’ve rounded up our fave pretty AND practical gym hairstyles. Give them a go and you’ll be looking 10/10 despite the red face and pool of sweat.

  1. BRAIDED BUN

Taking to the treadmill or tackling a HIIT class? You’re gonna need more than just a basic bun to keep your hair in place.

Start by plaiting your ponytail before twisting it into a bun. Now secure with a bobble and some Freeze Hold Hairspray and you’re good to go!

2. FRENCH PLAIT PONY

When in doubt, plait it out!

Begin by French plaiting the top of your hair before pulling it into a ponytail. This is sure to keep any baby hair or flyaway strands from falling on your face. Finish with a spritz of Freeze Hold Hairspray to keep it super-secure.

3. CROWN PLAIT

Heading to yoga or pilates? Create a crown plait around your head for an on point and practical style. For this perf scraped back style you’ll need some hair pins and Freeze Hold Hairspray.

4. PIGTAIL PLAITS

Good hair is a must in the gym. And it’s not just because us girls are vain… ever tried doing a plank with your hair drooping over your face? Not ideal, right? To avoid this, opt for pigtail plaits. Simply divide your hair into two even sections and then French plait both sides. Secure with bobbles and add a spritz of Freeze Hold Hairspray.
