Based in the beautiful village of Kirk Ella in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the salon is the home of Mark Hill and the Mark Hill Creative Team. It’s in the salon where the magic happens – with an enviable clientele including pop stars, movie stars, TV presenters and all round gorgeous, glamorous people!

But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a celebrity or have a celebrity’s bank balance to visit the salon! The salon is open 5 days a week and appointments can be made with any of the amazing stylists. We all know he’s the best in the business, but the world needs to know the truth about the man behind the brand. Part man, part machine, Mark plugs himself into the mains electricity supply every night and enjoys annoying us every day with his boundless energy.

Paula - Salon Director – in charge of hairdressing stuff

Self-confessed text maniac. Loves opening letters – the sight of the postman leaves her weak at the knees. Also known for her love of all things health and safety (and the odd glass of wine!)

Jules Holland - Creative Director

What can you say about the man who has it all? He’s charming, witty, good looking and a demon with a pair of scissors. He also wrote this all by himself!

Penny Oliver - Leading Stylist

Extremely creative, Penny has a wonderful approach to her work – she’s always happy and never lets her clients down. Hairdresser by day, dog trainer and pole dancer by night.

Lizzie Andrews - Leading Stylist

Tash Meakin - Top Stylist

Fancy some clip in extensions? Talk to Tash! She’s so good at colour matching, Dulux should watch out! Remember her name; she’s also a great fashion designer.

Robyn Maw - Top Stylist

Photo shoots, fashion shows, TV work and a real whizz at putting hair up. Young, funky, fresh and definitely the one to watch. Although she might be a great hairdresser, never ask her for a lift home “Is Scotland near London?”

Rozy Carter - Stylist

Rozy was Mark’s assistant for 3 years, so she knows all the tricks of the trade. Fantastic at demos and conferences, she can work all day in heels, party all night and still look amazing the next morning!

Sammy Jones - Senior Assistant

Is Sammy the most organised person in the world? Probably! The youngest member of the team, Sammy is a firework ready to explode. If you had a son, Sammy is the girl you’d love him to bring home.

Bridget Wells - Salon Assistant

A genius with a tinting brush, grey hair doesn’t stand a chance when Bridget applies your colour. Loves keeping things tidy – don’t stand still for more than a minute or she’ll put you in the cupboard!

Sophie Wells - Receptionist

A bit of a whizz on the computer, Sophie always manages to magic appointments out of thin air on even the busiest of days! Always smiling, even when she has just finished a 9 hour shift in 5 inch heels!

Jo Underwood - Receptionist

The longest serving member of staff, she could sell her story! Jo has been there, seen it and got the T-shirt to prove it! Clients love Jo, and so do we!

Neil - Commercial Manager – in charge of number stuff

If you like spreadsheets, then you’ll love Neil. He’ll show you his spreadsheet at the drop of a hat. He’s also been known to venture into the warehouse occasionally, and can often be seen in the corner of the coffee room with his high vis on.

Tom - Graphic Designer – in charge of artwork stuff

It’s Tom’s job to turn Mark’s midnight scribbles into readable artwork. Loves sending emails that are so big they crash everyone’s system.

Gill - PA – in charge of nothing (it would be too dangerous)

The Queen of Google, you only have to ask and she will find it. However, ask her to find something in her office, and you don’t stand a chance. Loves, lives and works for chocolate.

Angie Larman - Stock Controller

Kind and caring with a heart of gold, Angie is ‘mum’ to us all. However, touch her stock books and you’ll feel the back of her hand!

Amanda - Business Development - in charge of salon stuff

Amanda loves getting her teeth into the practical day to day running of the salon. From customer care right through to staff holidays, she seems to have a form for everything. Bring her a coffee every hour on the hour and she’ll be happy!
