Mark Hill Hit Up London Fashion Week SS17!

Written by: holly 23rd September 2016

Another September, another London Fashion Week for the Mark Hill team – and this season it was all about those pink vibes (of course)!

From hanging out at The Apartment with our top blogger baes, darting from show to show, attending the fanciest launch parties to spotting some serious street style – we did it ALL this season!

Our first stop, of course, was Brewer Street Carpark to spot this season’s top #HairGame from show goers! This year was all about natural curls and waves with an effortless feel – we spotted tons of enviable wavy locks parading around the showspace. A big trend around LFW that we saw the fashion elite rockin’ was the messy bun – #MHTopTip: the messier the better! This style gave a seriously chic look to some of the incredible tailored outfits we spotted. We were also seriously crushing over this amazing knotted up-do that blogger bae Debs of Bang on Style was seen rockin’ on Day 1 – we’ll be copying this look for sure this Winter!

We were also lucky enough to bag tickets to some of the best shows on the schedule to get a sneak peek at what’s to come next season. We were IN LOVE with some of the incredible pieces the fashion world has in store for us. It was all about those pink vibes for S/S17 – you can probably guess we’re not complaining!

Our show highlight of the season? Celeb spotting at Julien Macdonald! Rosie Fortescue being best dressed, of course in an embellished gold midi – we’re sure it was a piece from Julien’s collection!

Next up we popped along to Ashley William’s show at Brewer Street Carpark where we spotted girl crush Alexa Chung in the FROW (we were definitely crushing on her outfit!). We re-visited our teen years with some seriously cool rock chic pieces and prom inspired dresses – it was the biker jackets that stole our heart, though! The runway itself was a masterpiece in its own right. Models dipped and weaved between bedroom-like show sets as they strutted their stuff for all to see.

Our last show highlight was newcomer at Fashion Scout, Han Wen. Think beautiful, delicate pieces which paraded the runway, styled up with 20s style finger waves and loose, messy locks. We were obsessed with his layering technique and the pretty, floaty outfits.
