Whether you want it sleek, serious or messy, we’ve got the perfect updo for you!
Below we’ve gathered three of our fave quick and easy styles that are super-easy to recreate!
1) CHRISSIE TEGAN – THE POSH PONY.
Take your average ponytail up a notch by adding a reverse French braid!
Start by grabbing a thin section of hair (from the top of your head) and dividing it into three equal sections. Begin to braid your hair, crossing each strand under (rather than over). Now, start to add small sections of hair each time you braid, keeping all the sections roughly equal. Once you get to the crown of your head, tie off with a bobble and add a few ‘barely there’ curls with your straighteners. To complete the look, wrap a strand of hair around the bobble #smashedit
2) GABRIELLE UNION – THE HALF-UP BUN
Whether you’re hitting the red carpet or the supermarket, the half-up bun is the perf style. And lucky for you, it’s super-easy to master.
Simply divide your hair at the temples and pull it back into a high & tight ponytail. Once you’ve secured that with a bobble, twist the pony (and twist some more) before wrapping it around the bobble. Secure with some hair grips and a few spritz of Freeze Hold Hairspray.
3) MEGAN FOX – THE BOUFFANT
Take your ponytail to whole new heights by adding a puffy bouffant.
It’s super-easy to steal Megan’s style! Just start by pulling the top section of your hair back into a tiny ponytail and securing a couple of inches away from the scalp with a mini bobble. Next, push that mini ponytail towards your head until your roots are all puffed up. Once you’ve got that height, secure the mini bobble to your scalp using a hair grip (or two).
Now all that’s left to do is sweep the rest of your hair into a ponytail and spritz the hell out of your bouffant with some Freeze Hold Hairspray #nailedit.
So there you have it… we’re proving that contrary to popular belief, updos don’t require a professional hairdresser and tonnes of effort! Give one a go and let us know how you get on.
